"Arrrgh! Ye represent yor pirate clan. The Pirate King was ambushed by the law; and now we
must choose a new Pirate King. Now ya scallywags, which one of yor clans be strong enough to
take the Kingship? Ye thinks ye be strong enough? Bring yorselves and yor second to the Veil
Noir system and ye can settle the score in accordance to the Pirate Codex! Last one standing
be King."
Each Captain will place their name in a hat. Each Captain will draw a name from the hat. The
name drawn will be their primary target. If the Captain defeats his primary target, he then takes
over the defeated Captain's primary target until there is only one. If you happen to draw your
own name then you are free to target anyone. Any ship that comes within 6 inches of you,
exhibits "hostile intent"; and you are free to fire in self defense. Also, anticipate terrain surprises.
Note: All battleships and heavy cruisers will have same hull design, but the weapons systems
have been modularized. Choose your weapon module to match your playing style and see if
you can take the title of Pirate King! Oh, and come prepared with a clever pirate clan name.

In 2781, two years after the Star League Defense Force liberated Terra, putting
an end to the existence of the Amaris Empire, the SLDF was disbanded. The Great
House Lords began to eye the resources of the SLDF, enticing some of the units
to join the Great Houses as mercenaries, despite everything General Aleksandr
Kerensky tried to do to stop it. In 2784, to prevent the entire SLDF and what
it stood for to be totally corrupted and absorbed by the Great Houses, General
Kerensky led a massive exodus of the SLDF from what is known as the Inner Sphere.
In 2786 the SLDF refugees came upon and colonized the Pentagon Worlds, some 2000
light-years away from the Inner Sphere, and became the SLDF-in-Exile. Fourteen
years later, in 2800, differences began to erupt between the various factions
in the SLDF-in-Exile, as well as discontentment among those SLDF soldiers who
had been 'tested out of the ranks'. This led to a full revolt by 2801, known
as the Exodus Civil War. In 2802, Major-General Nicholas Kerensky, inheriting
the leadership of the SLDF-in-Exile after the passing of his father, General
Kerensky, and unable to stop the spread of violence between the colonists,
instituted the Second Exodus and took those still loyal to him and the SLDF
itself away from the Pentagon Worlds. The Pentagon Worlds then fell upon each
other in savagery, with only the strongest surviving.
Twenty years later those who followed Nicholas Kerensky were back to retake the Pentagon Worlds. But not as the SLDF.
Instead, they were

The kingdom of Alladore has been dealing with the encroachment of the Shadow Deep
for months now, but that isn't the only threat to the realm. There are other forces
on the continent that have their own malicious intents on Alladore. A new threat
has recently arisen in the east from the state of Lorenthia and its black-hearted
ruler, Dhallak m'Thorsz Carn. After ninety years of peace, there is strong rumor
that Lorenthia is preparing to invade Alladore while Alladore's attentions are on
Shadow Deep. Your team has been chosen to infiltrate the border of Lorenthia,
determine what forces may be massing for an attack, and return with the information
so the Lords of Alladore can assess what response is required. Given your skills
and experience, this should be an easy assignment for you.
Bring your own Ranger (up to level 5, though there may be some flexibility) and
companions if you have them, and accompanying minis if you would like. If not,
a pre-generated Ranger will be provided. Personal Ranger and companion sheets
must be submitted to the GM (indy.kochte@gmail.com) at least one week prior to
the convention for review and vetting. Otherwise, you will get a default pre-gen Ranger.
